Privacy notice

How information moves through ShowNoise, what becomes public, and how to contact us.

ShowNoise is operated by Haven Web Design LLC. Contact support@shownoise.com with privacy questions or requests. This notice covers our marketing site, application, public performer pages, directory, review forms, and widgets.

Information you provide

How we use information

We use it to operate accounts and workspaces, collect and moderate reviews, show content authorized for publication, deliver requested emails, manage billing, answer support requests, and protect the service from misuse. We do not add advertising pixels or behavioral analytics through these marketing pages.

What is public—and what is not

Submitting a review does not publish it. A performer’s authorized team can read its private submissions and decides whether to publish a review with publication permission. Public reviews can include name, role, rating, text, and separately approved media. Reviewer email and private moderation notes are not included in the public review API or widgets.

A public performer profile may disclose its configured biography, location, images, website, booking email, and links. Directory listing requires a separate opt-in. Public content can be indexed, fetched through the public API, embedded on other websites, or copied by others. Published averages describe the published selection only.

Technical and anti-abuse data

Hosting and service providers process network and device information needed to deliver and secure the service. The review submission system stores keyed hashes of network/browser and duplicate-content signals rather than raw IP addresses in its attempt records. Those attempt records expire after seven days and are cleaned up opportunistically during subsequent submissions; this is not a guarantee that every provider log is deleted on that schedule.

Cloudflare Turnstile checks submissions for automated abuse. Uploaded review images are processed into normalized images with source metadata removed. Do not upload sensitive information you do not want the performer to receive.

Cookies and storage

The application uses authentication cookies to maintain signed-in sessions. Documentation may store your display preferences. Our marketing code does not add advertising or analytics cookies. Embedded ShowNoise widgets do not add impression tracking or polling; the website hosting an embed may have its own cookies and policies. Security providers may process browser information for abuse prevention.

Service providers

Providers process information to supply these services under their own applicable agreements and privacy terms. Their locations, contractual transfer safeguards, and our controller/processor obligations must be confirmed in the final notice.

Retention and removal

Unpublishing removes content from new public responses after cache refresh; the current public cache has a 60-second expiry fallback. Already-open pages, third-party copies, and search indexes may retain content. Archiving is not deletion. Deleting an archived review removes its application record through the supported workflow; backups and provider records have separate retention.

Account, review, email suppression, billing, audit, support, backup, and provider-log retention periods are under review. This draft does not promise an unimplemented automatic deletion schedule. We may need to retain records for security, disputes, accounting, or legal obligations; the final notice must specify the applicable criteria and handling.

Your choices and requests

You can control profile publication and directory opt-in in the app. Reviewers can choose publication and contact permissions separately. Review-request emails include an opt-out link; suppression records help prevent further requests.

Email support@shownoise.com to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of permission, or to raise a concern. Include enough context to locate the account or review, but not passwords or sign-in codes. We may verify your identity and coordinate with the performer. Rights, exemptions, and complaint routes depend on applicable law and must be finalized for the locations we serve.

Age and changes

Accounts are for people aged 18 or older. The final policy must also address reviewer eligibility and how reports involving children are handled. Changes to this notice will be posted here with an effective date after approval.
